    Although, I’m doing a video on tuning snares really soon to go with a magazine article on just that which is coming out I’m pretty sure at the end of this month or beginning of January in Drums Etc.

    So that’ll have an overview of how I do it generally (of course all drums are different)

    And also my winning combination! The heads and wires that to me at least, every single time I’ve put them on a drum it just straight up rules!

(Over the E and S vertically, in the Evans logo is pretty close)

    Hoops : Sonor German Die Cast monsters
    Throwoff : Sonor SQ2
    Butt plate : Sonor Delite
    Shell : Burned with acid by Mr. Ronn Dunnett to give it that really dark earthy look.

    The lugs were already Delite/Artist series. Everything else about the drum I modded.

I have a rack of heads and to my surprise there weren’t any there when I was tracking this guy. The Stock german head sounds very similar though. Snare side is a Hazy 300 and the wires are Puresound Super 30′s

    But in all honesty, I think it was in an effort to keep the price down. Regular die cast hoops would be +$100 or so and with the German ones I have on you’re looking at like $300-$400 more in price
