Strange sound from the audio. Otherwise I love your drumset! Would you care
to post a video where you redefine the set and try open handed playing?

    • Miles Metko
    • May 16, 2012

Nice. Is there a video where you talk about your recording set up?

    • May 17, 2012

    haha thanks man! 😀

  2. [..YouTube..] Thanks dude! If you look at my Time Signature series videos (I THINK number four) I do a way faster breakbeat version of that kinda idea 🙂

  3. [..YouTube..] Thanks! I haven’t nailed it yet, but I got it pretty cool 😀

  4. [..YouTube..] Noooooobody knows 😉 hehe really though, they use completely different alloys and even as an Endorser who’s signed a non disclosure agreement, they didn’t even tell me what it is lol.

  5. [..YouTube..] Yeah, I wasn’t intending on this being an uploaded video so I didn’t bother setting up the studio. It’s just audio from the camera (the one in front of me to be exact).

As for open handed, funny you should mention that, I have another kit in a different room set up completely ambidextrous where I’ve been working on all the different variations of open handed 😀 That will probably happen soon

  6. [..YouTube..] Hey man! Nope, but I’m planning to do so this summer 🙂

  7. [..YouTube..] bahaha indeed 😛

  8. [..YouTube..] 😉 Chocolatey goodness!

    😉 Chocolatey goodness!

  9. [..YouTube..] Thanks man! Yeah, I didn’t intend on uploading this but it turned out kinda cool, so I never bothered to set up the studio session.

  10. [..YouTube..] Hells yes! LOVE Ren and Stimpy!

  11. [..YouTube..] hahha yeah it always puts a smile on my face 😛 Dunno! Guess we’ll find out

  12. [..YouTube..] Thanks man! If you check my (I think fourth) time signature video I do that idea again but faster, cooler and in breakbeat 😛

    Thanks Hugo! 😀

  14. [..YouTube..] haha first up, thanks! And as for the audio, you can totally do studio audio (as I’ve done in pretty much all my videos other than this one) but you need to do that with software on your computer. You CAN do it in real time via the microphone input, but I imagine your results would end up average at best. Plus you’d have no control over your mix afterwards. It’s better to do it in software.

  15. [..YouTube..] Aaron, u are creative as F**K man!

  18. [..YouTube..] youre such an inspiration dude

    youre such an inspiration dude

  19. [..YouTube..] Final Cut Pro X

  20. [..YouTube..] aww thanks man! 😀

  21. [..YouTube..] How many snares do you have total? I would make a big circle out of all of them and do a cool drumline snare shootout!

  22. [..YouTube..] hahah I dunno, thirty-something 😛 That would be fun! It’d be a HUGE circle 😛

  23. [..YouTube..] Excellent. I got some new hardware throughout the year and now that I’ve moved home for the summer I’m gonna make a lot more videos. I just posted a test video the other day.

  26. [..YouTube..] Great! I’m looking forward to see those videos! I started playing open handed November last year. The most challenging for me is to lead with the left foot and control the high-hat with the right one… Damn Mike Mangini for inspiring me to do this shit…
