This time around we’re going to take a look at two over five and two over seven. Conceptually, they’re really simple polyrhythms with their most basic form being eighth notes. Instead of just discarding them as useless, this video lesson explores them in much more detail, applying them as note placement possibilities within odd time grooves and fills! When you’ve gone through this in detail you’ll be comfortable applying these rhythms as note placement parameters in anything you want!
The drumset in this video is : Sonor SQ2 Beech Vintage, Makassar Ebony with SQ2 XRay and Birch Thin snares.
