However, with the shell being inherently brighter, the depth adds some warmth and a deep punch to it that really blends well with what the shell naturally does. Being completely in love with my 14×8 I’d say that depth is a must on those drums.

     I want to get an XRay kit at some point. I’m going to go reverse, shallow toms for cutting through tech. I have enough super resonant kits.

     @RoanRash Thanks man! The XRays are awesome, now I haven’t played any shallower ones, all of mine are super deep. However, with the shell being inherently brighter, the depth adds some warmth and a deep punch to it that really blends well with what the shell naturally does. Being completely in love with my 14×8 I’d say that depth is a must on those drums.

     I want to get an XRay kit at some point. I’m going to go reverse, shallow toms for cutting through tech. I have enough super resonant kits.
